Worldwide Wood Selections

Natural Woods - The domestic and exotic hardwoods shown below were selected for their exquisite beauty. If you have another wood in mind, let us know. For Natural Wood Pen Collection and more information click here.

Cocobolo - An extremely beautiful rosewood from Central and South America. Has rich deep red tones with swirls of black veined grain. Often used for expensive trim, jewelry boxes and other specialty applications.
Walnut - A most beautiful American dark brown hardwood.  This wood is hand selected for the best grain character. Walnut is used in the finest furniture and exotic trim.
Ebony - This jet black African hardwood when combined with gold trim makes a most elegant looking pen (see homepage). An occasional hint of brown veined grain in the wood adds additional character.
Bocote - A beautiful amber colored Mexican rosewood with black veins in the grain.
Kingwood - A Brazilian wood very similar to Honduras Rosewood but with more pronounced black veins in the grain.
Honduras Rosewood - This very beautiful light brown wood with pink overtones and black veins of grain is an excellent choice for handmade pens. Native to Central America
Tulipwood - Tulipwood from South America has an interesting Ivory color with beautiful red veins in the grain.
Mesquite - The very name Mesquite invokes the romance of Texas and the Southwest. The gnarled and thorny Mesquite conceals a rare, fine and grained hardwood, harder than oak, yet as beautiful as walnut and exotic as ebony. Mesquite has a radiant brown color similar to a rich mix of HOT CHOCOLATE with a woody grain.  Each Mesquite pen comes with a narrative describing the history and significance of Mesquite.
Olivewood - This rare exotic wood was hand selected from an Olivewood dealer in Bethlehem, Israel for it's unique and intense grain characteristics. It is not commercially available in the US. The intense and marbled black veined grain within the soft cream colored wood posseses a beauty unlike any other wood. The historical significance of Olivewood makes it a prized possession of many.  To order a pen made from this special wood, please add $10.00 to your order.
Osage Orange - A coarse craggy tree, native to Texas that brings a wonderful texture to landscape. An extremely durable wood. Stumps were used decades ago for leveling pier-and-beam houses, and are still intact these many years later. The wood has a beautiful amber color that turns a rich golden brown with age.
Maple - A light colored American hardwood is chosen by many for the beautiful contrast of letters when laser engraved. This durable wood will bring joy and satisfaction for years.

Dymondwood® - A laminated New England hardwood filled with a colored resin. This wood is extremely durable and will keep its beauty and luster with zero care. For Dymondwood Pen Collection and more information click here.
